Women's Tennis Wins at New Paltz

Alyssa Jaffe is 15-5 in singles play this season

New Paltz, N.Y. - The women's tennis team (13-4) defeated New Paltz 5-3 Saturday. The Bombers improved to 13-4 on the season.

After dropping two of three of doubles matches, the Bombers won four of the five finished singles matches in straight sets to earn the victory. Junior Alyssa Jaffe (Pascack Hills/Montvale, N.J.) won 6-4, 6-1 at third singles to win her team-leading 15th singles match of the season.

Sophomore Sarah Hollis (Greens Farms Academy/Fairfield, Conn.) won 6-0, 6-1 at fourth singles to improve to 13-6 on the year in singles play.

The Bombers wrap up the regular season with a match at William Smith Wednesday at 4 p.m. Ithaca will compete in the NCAA Tournament in May.
